Fees
M.Tech Fees for Working Professionals in 2026
M.Tech fees depend on the institution, specialisation, study mode and number of semesters. A part-time or sponsored programme may have a different fee schedule from the full-time M.Tech at the same institute. There is no single nationwide fee for working-professional M.Tech courses.
What to include when you compare fees
- Tuition per semester or year, and total programme tuition
- Application, entrance-test and admission charges
- Laboratory, examination, project or dissertation fees
- Campus accommodation, travel and any required immersion costs
- Payment deadlines, instalments, refund rules and employer sponsorship
Ask the institute for the full 2026–27 fee schedule for the exact department and admission category. The fee listed for a regular M.Tech student may not apply to a part-time or working-professional seat. Confirm whether fees are charged by credit, semester or programme, and whether repeat examinations or delayed completion involve additional charges.
How to compare M.Tech programme costs
Compare programmes by total cost rather than tuition alone. Include travel for campus classes, time away from work and any equipment or lab requirements. If an employer is sponsoring the course, check what costs are reimbursed and what happens if you change jobs or leave before completing the degree.
DIAT publishes separate fee documents for its M.Tech working-professional intake. Use the current DIAT M.Tech admission and fee notices and each institution’s official 2026–27 brochure to confirm current amounts. Do not rely on third-party pages for the final fee quote.
Are education loans available?
Loan availability is determined by the lender and the programme. Ask the institute whether its fee documents are accepted by banks, then compare interest, margin, collateral, repayment start date and prepayment terms directly with the lender. Employer sponsorship, if available, is separate from an education loan.
Fee checklist before you apply
- Request the fee notice for the correct academic year and programme mode.
- Calculate the full course cost, including mandatory non-tuition charges.
- Check the fee payment schedule against your employer’s reimbursement cycle.
- Read the cancellation and refund policy before paying an application or seat fee.
Because each M.Tech programme sets its own charges, confirm the latest fee information directly with the admissions office before making a payment.
